Category 2 grants will not exceed 50% of ongoing organisational costs and need your latest financial accounts. Arts projects have their own Creative Communities Scheme.

An annual round; the 2026 round has closed and the next dates are not published.

Checklist

What Central Hawke's Bay CVOS says you need:

• Be a voluntary non-profit organisation domiciled in Central Hawke's Bay
• Category 2: a copy of the most recent year's financial accounts

Common things funders ask for, worth having ready:

• What exactly is the money for, and when will you spend it?
• How much do you need, and do you have quotes under three months old?
• Who benefits, and how many people?
• Your legal name, registration number and bank account in the group's name.
• A committee or board decision approving the application (some funders want a signed resolution).
• Your latest financial statements or annual return.
• Other funders you have applied to for the same thing.
