What it funds

• Contribution to the costs of the programme

What it will not fund

• Individual artists
• Territorial authorities
• Fashion, game or commercial design, architecture
• Film, screen, TV and radio content

Good to know

Not for individual artists. Offers are capped at about 70% of average turnover. 2027 round dates not yet published.

Checklist

What Creative NZ Arts Organisations and Groups Fund says you need:

• Strategic plan, manifesto or vision statement
• Financial projections for next financial year
• Evidence supporting the proposal
• Last two years' annual accounts if over $50,000/yr

Common things funders ask for, worth having ready:

• What exactly is the money for, and when will you spend it?
• How much do you need, and do you have quotes under three months old?
• Who benefits, and how many people?
• Your legal name, registration number and bank account in the group's name.
• A committee or board decision approving the application (some funders want a signed resolution).
• Your latest financial statements or annual return.
• Other funders you have applied to for the same thing.
