Good to know

From November 2027 rounds move to May and November each year. Running costs need invoices for the previous three months, and salary positions need a signed contract.

What Mercury Oamaru Fund says you need:

• Community organisation based within the outlined area on the map on the application form
• Grants for specific, future-based purposes
• Invoices for the previous three months for general running costs
• Signed employment contract and position description for existing salary positions
• One application per organisation per round, two successful applications per calendar year

Common things funders ask for, worth having ready:

• What exactly is the money for, and when will you spend it?
• How much do you need, and do you have quotes under three months old?
• Who benefits, and how many people?
• Your legal name, registration number and bank account in the group's name.
• A committee or board decision approving the application (some funders want a signed resolution).
• Your latest financial statements or annual return.
• Other funders you have applied to for the same thing.
