Good to know

Caps depend on category: $15,000, $50,000 or $50,000 to $150,000. One application per round, and you cannot add information after lodging.

A yearly round; the 2026 round ran 16 March to 19 April 2026 and the next dates are not published.

Checklist

What Otago ECO Fund says you need:

• One application per funding round
• Disclose any other funding applied for or received for the project

Common things funders ask for, worth having ready:

• What exactly is the money for, and when will you spend it?
• How much do you need, and do you have quotes under three months old?
• Who benefits, and how many people?
• Your legal name, registration number and bank account in the group's name.
• A committee or board decision approving the application (some funders want a signed resolution).
• Your latest financial statements or annual return.
• Other funders you have applied to for the same thing.
